Studio Policies & Procedures

Below are some general guidelines all persons at Seed Pilates are asked to follow:

To help quell the spread of viruses, any clients or instructors who are not feeling well should refrain from in-person sessions or classes.

Atire

To deter the spread of skin infection and disease, ALL students are required to wear closed-toe socks while using the studio equipment and accessories.

Please also avoid wearing clothing with exposed zippers, grommets, or other rough edges that may cause abrasions to the equipment.

Seed is a scent free space-in consideration of those with allergies or aversions to scent, please refrain from wearing fragrance or perfume while at the studio.

Outside shoes should not be worn past the entry way.

Note that your instructor may have additional policies which will be communicated separately.

Students working specifically with Seed Pilates should note the additional policies below:

Paperwork

Client paperwork, including the Student Questionnaire, Liability Waiver, and Studio Policies Agreement along with Physician’s Approval (if necessary) will be filled out and submitted prior to commencement of a student(s) first appointment.

Appointment Times

Group Classes and Private Sessions are approximately 50-55 minutes, plus 5-10 minutes for clean up and any other business that may need taking care of. Appointments will begin and end promptly as scheduled; please be on time in order to make full use of the session or class.

For all Private sessions, regardless of the student(s) arrival time, sessions will end at the scheduled time. In the event the student(s) has not arrived or contacted the instructor prior to 10 mins into the scheduled time, the appointment will be forfeited and count as a "no show".

For Group Classes, late admittance will not be permitted - the early parts of class ensure a proper warm up and body integration which helps to minimize risk of injury and enhances the overal success of the class.

Cancelations

Please allow 24 hours notice for canceling all appointments, including Private (Solo, Duet, and Trio) sessions as well as Group Classes. There will be a charge for any cancellations occurring less than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled sessions as well as for failure to show up. The late cancelation or "no-show" penalty will be in the amount equal to one session or class. If the cancelled session described above is part of a package, it will count as one completed session from that package. Waiver of the cancelation penalty will be on a case by case basis at the discretion of the instructor. To cancel an appointment:

  • Private sessions - please text, email, or notify me in-person of any cancelations.

  • Group Classes - these may be canceled through the website up to 24 hours in advance; after which, please notify Seed Pilates directly via email or text message.

Health & Masking

In order to best support our community, changes to any masking policies will be communicated to all students.

In general, please plan to mask if any of the following apply:

  • If you have had a potential exposure to COVID (even if currently testing negative) or any other contagious illness, please wear a mask.

  • If you've been traveling or in attendance at a large event within 48-72 hours of your appointment, a mask may help prevent transmission prior to your knowledge of exposure or symptoms.

  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness—even if you think it’s just allergies—wear a mask; and as always, no one should be attending classes if they are sick.

  • When in doubt, mask up.
