A Bit About Me...

I welcome movers of any fitness level, physical ability, age, body type, gender identity or presentation, sexuality, race or ethnicity and I strive to create an atmosphere for ALL bodies to explore a movement practice free of judgement.

Stacy Brenner (she/her pronouns)

I began dancing at a young age and formed a strong love for movement. I attended Western Michigan University and graduated, with honors, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts and was named the Department of Dance Presidential Scholar. While at WMU, I began to study Conditioning, Kinesiology and movement analysis, deepening my fascination with movement.

Soon after moving to Seattle, I furthered my interest of physical movement by earning certifications from the American Council on Exercise and STOTT PILATES®. Since receiving my initial training in 2005-2006, I've had the privilege to teach at Bodycenter Studios-a STOTT PILATES® Instructor Training Studio, PNBConditioning-the resident Pilates studio at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School and Cirque du Soleil-Seattle tours of Amaluna and Kurios. In 2021, I established Seed Pilates & Movement Training-my own intimate studio space.

Utilizing a contemporary adaptation to Pilates with integration of Functional Movement Patterns, Fascial Movement Training and other Somatic principles, I offer inclusive and approachable instruction which includes detailed and precise movement patterning with fluidly flowing sequences. I use thoughtful and clear communication to create supportive and encouraging classes which provide exercise variations and options to meet each student's individual needs for challenge and focus. My clients say I'm a detail-oriented instructor who is greatly focused on the individual’s needs. I keep workouts interesting with a variety of exercises while still keeping the client’s fitness goals as a priority.

In addition to teaching, I continue to dance professionally as a freelance dance artist with various Seattle Contemporary Ballet and Modern Dance choreographers and am the Company Manager for Coriolis Dance (www.coriolisdance.org). In my free time, I enjoy lots of snuggle time with my 11 lb Chiweenie, named Ollie, and family walks with Ollie and my partner, Ben.

What my clients say...

"I've been lucky to work with Stacy for many years, in group classes, private sessions, and online sessions. Stacy is consistently well-prepared, and also responsive to my particular physical goals and needs. Stacy has such a wealth of knowledge to draw from, and I appreciate that she uses that expertise to create a carefully crafted plan for each session, which she then can adapt in the moment, to support whatever my body seems to need on the day. Also, Stacy is extremely clear and thorough in her explanations of exercises and body mechanics, which has made the transition to online sessions seamless and effective."
